When my Co-Founder Will and I started StackMob back in January of 2010, we had a grand vision. We wanted to start the first platform focused on lowering the barriers to mobile development and give developers all of the services they need to launch the highest quality mobile applications on day one. That was our goal. We weren’t going to settle for the complex, disorganized and often broken tools that were currently available. Make it simple. Make it powerful. Make it reliable. This is how the idea of StackMob came to life.
Our vision from day one was to build a powerful platform that helped mobile developers build, deploy and grow feature-rich applications. By creating a platform like StackMob, we envisioned a world where developers could focus the bulk of their time and resources on the UI/UX of a mobile application and let us take care of the rest.
Today marks a very special day in the history of our company and mobile technology, as the open launch of StackMob represents a big step forward in lowering the barriers for all mobile developers. Staying in private beta until now gave us the ability and time to build a strong and reliable platform that could power even the highest performing applications throughout each phase of their development.
The response we’ve received from developers has been amazing and humbling. We’ve seen 60% growth month-over-month since we raised our Series A in May. Everyone from indie developers to Fortune 50 enterprises have already been building on StackMob – and the best is yet to come.
I am extremely proud of the team at StackMob — an extraordinary group of individuals that work tirelessly to bring this vision to life. It is our really talented and diverse team that makes this day so special. Together, we have built, and will continue to build the features customers need, support the community, and make improvements to the platform while staying true to our vision of lowering the barriers of development. I am so proud of what our team has been able to accomplish.
